The norm for sacramental preparation in the Diocese of Orlando is a two-year process: one year of regular attendance at Faith Formation and one year of immediate preparation in a sacrament-specific program.
Year 1: (typically 6th grade) consistent participation in a Faith Formation program.
options: religious education through a Catholic school or homeschooling curriculum, OR Faith Formation at the parish (Pre-Confirmation)
Year 2: (typically 7th grade), participation in the Confirmation (Purpose) program.
What does this entail? 10 Wednesday sessions at the parish, a retreat, and a student workbook with the necessary forms/assignments.
