Sacristan Ministry

About

The Sacristan Ministry ensures the sacristy, altar, and sanctuary are properly maintained and are focused on preparing the liturgical items needed for the celebration of Mass and other special liturgies.  Sacristans prepare the vessels for the Eucharist, ensure the availability of necessary supplies, clean and store liturgical items following Mass and assist with ensuring care for the altar candles and presence candle.  Sacristans play a vital role in supporting the clergy by ensuring that all necessary preparations are made for the celebration of Mass.  Training is provided.
